Residence / Domicile Certificate
A residence certificate (also called a domicile certificate) is proof that you live in Telangana. Many government jobs, university admissions, and state welfare schemes require you to be a resident of Telangana for a certain number of years.
- Students applying for state-quota seats in engineering, medical, or other colleges - Job seekers applying for state government jobs that require Telangana domicile - Citizens needing proof of address for other official purposes - Residents who recently moved and need to establish a new domicile

The local Tahsildar office reviews and approves the application. 7. Download and print the certificate once approved (usually 7–15 working days).
