Update Voter ID Address
If you have moved to a new address within the same constituency or to a different constituency, you need to update your voter registration so that your name appears in the correct electoral roll. Use Form 8A (same constituency) or Form 6 (new constituency).
- Voters who have moved within the same assembly constituency and need their address corrected - Voters who shifted to a new constituency and need to transfer their registration - Citizens whose voter card has a spelling mistake in name or wrong address - Anyone whose father/husband name or other details need a correction on the electoral roll
1. Visit the Voter Helpline Portal (voters.eci.gov.in) or the CEO Telangana portal. 2. Log in with your registered mobile number. 3. For address change within the same constituency: select **Form 8 – Correction of Entries**. 4. For address change to a new constituency: select **Form 6 – New Registration** and also submit **Form 7 – Deletion** in the old constituency (the portal may handle this automatically). 5. Enter your new address and upload address proof: Aadhaar card, utility bill, or rental agreement. 6. Submit the form and save your reference number. 7. A BLO may verify your new address. Once approved, your electoral roll entry is updated before the next revision cycle.
