Social Welfare Schemes Overview
Telangana runs dozens of welfare programmes for marginalised groups — SC/ST families, women, children, weavers, fishermen, toddy tappers, and more. This page lists the main welfare departments and how to find and apply for schemes that may apply to you.
- Citizens from SC, ST, BC, minority, or EBC communities looking for government support - Women, particularly those who are self-employed or from low-income households - Farmers and traditional occupation workers (weavers, toddy tappers, fishermen) seeking livelihood support - Parents looking for government support for the education or nutrition of their children
1. Identify the department that covers your community or need (list below). 2. Visit the department's portal or your local Ward / Village Secretariat and ask the Welfare Secretary for a list of active schemes. 3. Check your eligibility for each scheme: most require Aadhaar, ration card, and a caste or income certificate. 4. Fill in the scheme application form (online or at the Secretariat). 5. Attach the required documents and submit. 6. Track the application status online where available, or follow up at the Secretariat. 7. Once approved, benefits (cash transfer, subsidy, training, material support) are delivered directly to your bank account or home.
