Women Safety – SHe Teams & Helplines
Telangana Police runs dedicated SHe Teams that respond to harassment, stalking, and domestic violence complaints from women. There are also 24-hour helplines and online complaint options so that any woman in distress can get help quickly, any time of day.
- Women who are being harassed, stalked, or threatened in public or online - Domestic violence survivors who need immediate help or want to file a complaint - Parents or relatives of a woman in distress who want to raise a complaint on her behalf - Women who want to report workplace sexual harassment (POSH Act) and need guidance on how to proceed
1. In an emergency, call **100** (Police) or **181** (Women's Helpline, Telangana) immediately. SHe Teams are mobile and can reach you quickly. 2. For a non-urgent complaint, visit the Telangana Police online complaint portal or the Bharosa Centre nearest to you. 3. Describe the incident: what happened, where, when, and details of the person responsible. 4. Attach any evidence — screenshots of messages, photographs, or medical records — if filing online. 5. Submit the complaint. A SHe Team officer will follow up within the prescribed response time. 6. For domestic violence cases, a Protection Officer can also be reached through the Women's Helpline. 7. All complaints are handled with confidentiality.
